* Acrylamide, Found in many hand and face creams. Linked to mammary tumors in lab research.

* Sodium laurel or lauryl sulfate (SLS), also known as sodium laureth sulfate (SLES), Found in car washes, engine degreasers, garage floor cleaners and in over 90% of personal care products! SLS breaks down the skins moisture barrier, easily penetrates the skin, and allows other chemicals to easily penetrate. Combined with other chemicals, SLS becomes a nitrosamine, a potent class of carcinogen. It can also cause hair loss. SLES is sometimes disguised with the labeling comes from coconut or coconut-derived.

* Toluene , Poison! Danger! Harmful or fatal if swallowed! Harmful if inhaled or absorbed through the skin. Made from petroleum or coal tar, and found in most synthetic fragrances. Chronic exposure linked to anemia, lowered blood cell count, liver or kidney damage, and may affect a developing fetus. Butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) contains toluene. Other names may include benzoic and benzyl.

Dioxanes carcinogenicity was first reported in 1965 and later confirmed in studies including one from the National Cancer Institute in 1978. Nasal passages and liver are the most vulnerable. Why I Never Get Flu Shots

Every year about this time, quite a few people write me and ask, “My Doctor tells me to get my annual flu shot. Should I do it?”

Well, I don’t diagnose or prescribe, and what you do with your body remains entirely up to you and your doctor (if you still go to a doctor), but I’ll gladly tell you what I do regarding flu shots…

I avoid them like the plague.

In fact, at age 52, I’ve never had a flu shot, and it would take a Marine nurse and at least four burly wrestlers the size of Jessie Ventura to hold me down and give me one.

Perhaps you already sense I have strong feelings about flu shots?

These feelings stem from personal opinion, reading, and dramatic personal experience.

First off, I don’t think toxic chemicals and virus strains grown on living tissue belong in the human body, even when they’re packaged in sterile glass vials.

Since my family and I don’t rely on doctors anymore, I don’t have access to an insert that reveals the composition of this year’s flu vaccine, but I did find some general information at the Concerned Parents for Vaccine Safety web site, where I learned about some of the ingredients used to make vaccines.

Do you want any of the following vaccine constituents in YOUR bloodstream?

* Ethylene glycol (antifreeze)

* Phenol, also known as carbolic acid (this is used as a disinfectant, dye)

* Formaldehyde, a known cancer-causing agent

* Aluminum, which is associated with Alzheimer’s disease and seizures and also cancer producing in laboratory mice (it is used as an additive to promote antibody response)

* Thimerosal (a mercury disinfectant/preservative) can result in brain injury and autoimmune disease

* Neomycin and Streptomycin (used as antibiotics) have caused allergic reaction in some people.

Vaccines are also grown and strained through animal or human tissue like monkey kidney tissue, chicken embryo, embryonic guinea pig cells, calf serum, and human diploid cells (the dissected organs of aborted human fetuses as in the case of rubella, hepatitis A, and chickenpox vaccines).

Well, I refuse to put all of the above in my body, and I hope when your doctor starts telling you it’s time for your annual flu shot that you’ll require him to defend the annual injection. You or your insurance company’s probably paying eighty bucks for a visit, so get your money’s worth.

Have your doctor read you the insert that comes with the vaccine.

Then have him/her explain why it makes sense to inject toxic chemicals into the human body and how such substances can aid the delicate immune system.

Chances are he/she will fall back on questionable statistical and demographic explanations that the medical establishment has used for decades to justify immunization.

Try to engage your doctor in a non-confrontational discussion because this is an opportunity for him/her to actually give some serious thought to what he/she is injecting into bodies of patients day after day after day.

Many traditional doctors who haven’t studied diet and lifestyle aren’t going to change unless we help to educate them to what drugs and vaccines may really be doing long-term to people.

Okay, to speak from personal experience for a moment, let’s look over our shoulders to 1990, a time period before the Day family turned to natural methods of building health.

In February of 1990, right after my wife’s major cancer surgery in January, her doctor recommended a flu shot.

Almost immediately after the injection, my wife started feeling ill.

Overnight she came down with the worst case of flu she’d ever had.

She went to bed and literally didn’t get up again for more than a few hours at a time for years afterwards. Only now, almost a decade later, is she finally regaining full health and energy.

I’d buy into that if I were convinced that injecting a filthy substance into the body actually made sense.

Unfortunately, once I stopped buying into the big medical lies about their drug, cut, and burn system, I started questioning all of it.

And when one digs into the vaccine history (check out the Swine Flu vaccine if you want a real horror story) and scientific research (especially in Europe), it quickly becomes apparent that nobody really knows what these toxic stews of chemicals and microorganisms do in the human body.

Well, readers and a few medical professionals have called me a simple-minded dolt on more than one occasion, but since 1993 I’ve approached the yearly flu shot hype with the understanding that if I eat and live properly, I won’t have to worry about catching the flu.

The flu vaccine I use — eating and living as close to nature as I can — actually works.

Not only that, but it doesn’t cost a dime, and nobody’s going to have his/her life ruined because of a “bad batch” of vaccine that triggers some mysterious autoimmune disease that lays a person out of commission for years.

But let’s say you don’t want to eat and live close to nature.

Okay, I can understand that, but my next question would be “Which is better? Some rest time with the flu or having toxic chemicals injected into your bloodstream?”

I mean, seriously, before I got healthy I almost looked forward to a yearly bout with influenza because it meant I could go to bed and get some rest instead of working practically every waking moment of my life.

I might add that I haven’t missed more than two consecutive days of work from an illness for almost five years, so a non-vaccine approach does work for me. This non-drug approach has resulted in a level of health that continually amazes me, especially when I see other men and women my age who are miserable and without energy. Men and women who spend all too much of their time drifting from doctor to doctor in endless pursuit of solutions that don’t get to the cause of their problems — diet and life style.

Chet Day is right on target here. He is one of the few newsletter writers that I am in virtual 100% agreement with.

I have heard some authors state that there is a direct correlation of the number of flu shots one has and the incidence of Alzheimer’s. This would be due to the aluminum and mercury that is put in every flu shot.

I could not agree more with his recommendations. I am fond of providing the following answer to people who ask me if they should get a flu shot.

I tell them “Only if they want to get the flu”.

I am glad to see Chet has gone for five years without missing two consecutive days of work. In the last 20 years though, I have not missed one day of work due to an illness. Now my diet and lifestyle program has NOT always been perfect, far from it. But for the most part I am following an optimized program.

The only miracle here though is that God has given us such wonderful bodies that if even come close to following an optimal diet, exercise and rest, we will have a high likelihood of immunity from illness.

The Food You Eat Controls Potency of Viral Infections

Poor nutrition leads to mutations that create more dangerous forms of the influenza virus and may contribute to newly virulent outbreaks of viral epidemics ranging from the common cold to AIDS and Ebola hemorrhagic fever.

Deficiencies of selenium allowed the human influenza virus to mutate into more virulent forms in mice, and a similar mutation is likely to occur in people.

Once the mutations have occurred, even mice with normal nutrition are more susceptible to the newly virulent strain.

Poor nutritional status may contribute to the emergence of new viral strains and might promote epidemics.

In the study, groups of mice with normal and selenium-deficient diets were exposed to Influenza A Bangkok, a mild strain of human influenza virus. Although investigators had expected the malnourished mice to be sicker than the well-fed ones, they confirmed that the virus also mutated to a greater degree in these mice.

Selenium, which is found in meat, is a component of an antioxidant enzyme that helps the body fight off infections. Most people in developed countries would not need to supplement their diet to maintain adequate levels of the mineral.

The study focused on the flu virus, which hospitalizes more than 100,000 people each year in the United States alone. The research also confirmed earlier studies into the causes of mutations of a virus, Coxsackie B3, linked to a heart disease known as Keshan disease.

The disease, once found in China among children and women of childbearing age with diets low in selenium, was largely eradicated by dietary supplements.

Most people are stuck in a belief system that puts most of the responsibility for illness on these big bad infectious bacteria and viruses.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

Even Louis Pasteur, on his deathbed, realized that it was not the infectious agents, but the terrain in which they worked, which was responsible for their ability to produce illness.

The most significant contribution to one’s biological terrain would be the foods that you eat. This is one of the reasons why one should seriously consider implementing the optimal health food choice program. The program eliminates sugars and most grains that break down to sugar. It is these sugars that serve as fuel for the growth of pathogens that will cause illness.

As the above study suggests, other factors are involved. Selenium is a major player for viral infections. As the first link below shows, selenium is a potent inhibitor of viral replication and is an important part of effective natural regimens for control of hepatitis C infections.

However, one must be aware that medical science is at a very rudimentary stage of its understanding of nutrition and it interaction with human physiology. There are likely dozens, if not hundreds, of other micronutrients and factors that are responsible for decreasing the risk of infection when one eats natural unprocessed whole foods.

A New Way to Kill Viruses: Shake Them to Death

Scientists may one day be able to destroy viruses by mathematically determining the frequencies at which they can be shaken to death.

All objects have resonant frequencies at which they naturally vibrate. But too much vibration can destroy the object. Recent experiments have shown that laser pulses tuned to the right frequency can kill certain viruses. However, at present, locating these resonant frequencies is a trial and error task.

Researchers are hard at work developing methods to calculate the vibrational motion of every atom in a virus shell. From this, they can determine the lowest resonant frequencies. For example, the satellite tobacco necrosis virus resonates strongly around 60 Gigahertz (60 billion cycles per second).

It is unlikely that viruses will be able to develop resistance to mechanical shaking, as they do to drugs.

I found this article particularly interesting because of how it ties in with research on other fronts, specifically the breakthrough discoveries of Bruce Lipton, as explained in his book The Biology of Belief.

When you destroy its brain , the membrane , the cell dies, just as you would die if your brain was removed. Therefore, killing viruses through the use of resonant frequencies that stresses the cell to the point of breaking its shell is certainly within the realm of reality.

Childhood Vaccines Exceed Federal Guidelines for Mercury

Childhood vaccines contain doses of mercury that are in excess of the Federal Safety Guidelines, and evidence shows a link between these excessive doses of mercury, found in thimerosal-containing vaccines, and neurodevelopment disorders such as autism and speech disorders, as well as heart disease, according to a study.

Since the introduction of thimerosal to vaccines, rates of autism have drastically increased. In the mid-1980s, one in 2,500 children had autism compared with one in about 300 children in 1996–an increase of over 800 percent in 20 years.

Researchers say that thimerosal should be banned from all U.S. vaccines and hope such a ban would curb the epidemic of autism and speech disorders facing America.

The study found a two- to six-fold increased occurrence of neurodevelopment disorders after an additional 75- to 100-microgram dosage of mercury from thimerosal-containing vaccines as compared to thimerosal-free vaccines.

To investigate, researchers analyzed the doses of mercury from thimerosal-containing vaccines that children received from routine childhood immunizations. They also evaluated the incidence of rates of neurodevelopment disorders and heart disease following thimerosal-containing vaccines and thimerosal-free vaccines.

Additionally, researchers looked at data on children with various types of disabilities in comparison to the amount of mercury they received from thimerosal in their childhood vaccines.

Based on the results, which found thimerosal-containing vaccines to contain mercury in excess of Federal Safety Guidelines, researchers confirmed a link between thimerosal-containing childhood vaccines and neurodevelopment disorders and heart disease.

Dr. Mercola’s Comments:

It is nearly incomprehensible that the well-documented, toxic mercury is still in many vaccines, years after federal agencies have mandated that thimerosal be removed from the hepatitis vaccine.

Most people, physicians included, don’t understand that the mercury preservative thimerosal is still used in most vaccines and is likely one of the major contributing factors to vaccine toxicity.

Mercury is a potent neurotoxin. Injecting it into a child, whose nervous system is rapidly developing, could have terrible consequences.
